The international volunteering report issued by the United Nations Volunteer Program in 2022 on the state of volunteering in the world indicated that the monthly number of volunteers in our Arab countries has reached 26,201,390 volunteers. This volume of Arab volunteers can become an added social and economic value for sustainable development and climate action in the Arab region if it is well employed and invested.
In addition to the weak role of volunteers within Arab NGOs and the ability of NGOs to attract volunteers and invest their efforts in the development of local communities.
Hence comes the importance of the Arab Club, which seeks to build an interactive platform among Arab volunteers that facilitates the exchange of experiences among them and supports the direction of civil society organizations to integrate the concepts of sustainable development and climate action into volunteer work and spread the culture of green volunteering in addition to working to confront the challenges facing them, and supporting the building of partnerships between the parties concerned with the development of volunteer movements in the Arab region.
